Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/Grappling
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, also known as BJJ, is a ground style of martial arts that originated in the early 1900′s in Brazil by the Gracie family. BJJ uses chokes and joint locks to “submit” an opponent and uses the gi for control and submissions. It is an excellent form of self-defense for ground fighting for men, women, and children. Grappling incorporates similar techniques without the use of the gi.
