Tyler upchurch won his 1st amature fight on November, 16th, 2009 in Lake Charles, Indiana.  He fought well against Seth Crumpler and tapped him out in under 3 minutes with a n armbar.  below is the video of that fight, courtesy of USA-MMA.

It was an exciting night at the Lair, Thursday, November 19, when 7 members of the Lair BJJ team were promoted. Matthew Potter – yellow, Chris Silva – orange, Susane Moore, Zach Potter, Brady Upchurch, Tyler Upchurch – blue, and Jeff Mullenax – purple! Thanks to the 35+ others that came out and supported the team. Good job guys, keep working!

Friday the 13th was a great day for the Grapplers Lair Fight Team. Tyler Upchurch won his debut fight with an armbar in the 1st round. Dave Williams gave his whole heart in his debut fight but lost to a rear naked choke. We are still proud of you Dave! Chris Schickner is now 4-0 after beating his opponant in the 1st round with a rear naked choke. 10 Grapplers Lair supporters made the trip and cheered them on – thanks to you guys!
